Significato 1. Finire le scorte di qualcosa.

“The ink in the printer has run out“.

= Non c’è più inchiostro nella stampante.

 

Significato 2. Avere poco tempo a disposizione.

Risolvere un problema, un contrasto o una situazione difficile.

4. Look into 

Esaminare i fatti in merito a un problema o a una situazione (indagare)

“We’re looking into buying a new office space”. = Indagare in merito all’acquisto di un nuovo ufficio, per esempio cercare di capire i costi, la posizione, ecc.  

Cliente: “I haven’t received my order yet and it should have arrived by now”.

Impiegato: “I’m sorry about that, I’ll look into it for you”.

Se un cliente fa una lamentela, puoi usare “look into it” per dirgli che cercherai di indagare in merito al suo problema.
